Hello,

I am trying to understand if I can use 1 Sonos Amp to setup a pair of Sonance in ceiling speakers for surround sound and another pair to use outdoors to play music?

No, each Amp acts as one zone, meaning all speakers wired to a single Amp will play the same content at the same volume. If you want two separate zones, you need to use two Amps.

No. A single Amp can be set up as a surround driver, or a regular music speaker driver, but not both at the same time. You can switch between the two modes, but there’s a significant effort, you’re essentially  setting up the ‘room’ as new each time.

You’d be better off with two separate Amps.
