Running separate zones off one AMP

I have a Sonos AMP with speakers hard wired to my Kitchen and to my Patio.  I would like to be able to run those areas as two separate zones.  Is this possible or do I need a second amp?

If I purchase a second amp can it run on the one app so I can have music playing on the patio and kitchen together?  I would like to have the ability to hear it on the patio and in the kitchen or be able to turn off one or the other.

Yes, the app allows you to play two different sources on each Amp, or group them together to play the same source.

A minor thing to keep in mind, if you select the same source for both Amps it may or may not play in sync, even if it does initially it will likely drift over time.

The Group function locks then in sync avoiding the timing issue.
