Hi,
I’m repairing a Sonos Play:5 Gen 1 and I’m looking for suitable replacements for the power inductors in the Class-D amplifier output section.
The original inductors are marked “100” and “200”, which I understand to be 10 µH and 20 µH.
I have removed one of the 100 inductors and measured the physical dimensions:
- Approx. 12.5 mm diameter
- Approx. 19 mm total height
- Two electrical leads
- Approx. 8.1 mm lead spacing
- The bottom of the component is marked “C25”
Does anyone know the original manufacturer/part number, current rating and DCR of these inductors?
More importantly, has anyone successfully replaced the 100 (10 µH) and/or 200 (20 µH) inductors in a Play:5 Gen 1 and can recommend a specific replacement part number?
For some additional background on the failure: all five of the large electrolytic capacitors in this amplifier section have failed, and I have also found several other visibly swollen electrolytic capacitors which will be replaced.
In addition, two of the four 6-pin components marked “G64 A8” were physically damaged/failed. I intend to replace all four of these components while rebuilding the amplifier section.
One of the 100 inductors was also damaged, which is why I need a replacement. Since there has clearly been significant component failure in this amplifier section, I would prefer to replace the inductors with parts of known and suitable specifications rather than guess at the required current rating.
If anyone has repaired this particular amplifier board and knows the original specifications or has a known-working replacement part number, I would really appreciate the information.
