I have a Port and a a pair of Play 3 as a stereo pair. Every time I stream music from iTunes I have to do the dance of remember in the Sonos App how to get the Port to play to the Play 3’s - can I configure the Port to always auto pair with the Stereo pai?

Curious as to why you use AirPlay 2, rather than stream within the Sonos app. No need for the Port at that point, the PLAY:3s do all the lifting, since AirPlay 2 isn’t required.

Auto play is not available - as it is AirPlay.

You could save a Port / Play 3 Group which might help bit.

I do that - but I dont think it really accelerates the process.

What would be nice is if Groups appeared as Airplay endpoints - or Auto Play worked with Airplay.

Autoplay only applies to the Line-In (or an HDMI-ARC in), and can only be set to a single room.  With any other source, be it Airplay or the Sonos app, grouping is done manually.  There are no groups that automatically form when a source is chosen, though for the Line-In, HDMI-ARC, and music through the Sonos app, groups are persistent after they are formed (Note: Groups are only persistent for Line-In and HDMI-ARC if ‘Include Grouped Rooms is set to On and ‘Ungroup on Autoplay’ is set to Off, respectively).

Okay. So you bought a Port to AirPlay to the Play:3’s?

I have had this setup for mpore than 8 years and predates airplay support. And your question is kinda obnoxious - move along!

Missed that the Sonos App now support iTunes - do not use it much as the app interface drives me nuts.

You used to have to have all the music downloaded to a server to use iTunes.

Do you have an Apple Music subscription?
