I am a Sonos user and LOVE my 5’s, 1’s and other Sonos gear. We are building a new home and plan on putting in Sonos wired in-ceiling architectural speakers back to an AV closet with Sonos Amps. We would like to do the same outside for the covered patio.
Are the in-celing speakers capable of being installed outdoors in a covered patio, able to withstand temperatures and possibly the elements, or is the only way to do this is to purchase the outdoor set that are installed with a bracket. Any experience out there on this design?

The Sonance Architectural In-Ceiling speakers are not intended for outdoor use - only the Sonance Architectural Outdoor speakers are.
However, you could of course look for a pair of In-Ceiling speakers that are designed for outdoor use, just be aware that only Sonance Architectural speakers are compatible with TruePlay.
