Hi @Shpadoinkle,
Thanks for the information. We’d like to investigate this further, but we need some more information to try to reproduce this.
- Are you currently running S1 or S2 on your Sonos players?
- Could you please provide at least two (2) examples of the replaygain tags that are failing to be read?
Feel free to reply here or send me a direct message if that’s preferred.
Hi James,
I am running S2 on my players.
Here’s an example for the tags on two songs that had the issue:
Metadata:
ALBUM : Fortitude
album_artist : Gojira
ARTIST : Gojira
COPYRIGHT : ℗ 2021 Roadrunner Records, Inc.
DATE : 2021
disc : 1
TITLE : Grind
DISCTOTAL : 1
TRACKTOTAL : 11
track : 11
replaygain_album_gain: -10.68 dB
replaygain_album_peak: 1.000000
replaygain_track_gain: -11.22 dB
replaygain_track_peak: 0.982766
Metadata:
ALBUM : The Fifth Season
ARTIST : Sacrilege
DATE : 1997
disc : 1
TITLE : Sorg
DISCTOTAL : 1
TRACKTOTAL : 10
track : 10
replaygain_album_gain: -11.60 dB
replaygain_album_peak: 0.988159
replaygain_track_gain: -11.24 dB
replaygain_track_peak: 0.987823
Again, if you add more songs to the playlist and then restart the song, replaygain tags are once again recognized and the volume is dropped.
Thanks for the examples. I’ve passed the information over to our engineering team for investigation, and I’ll let you know if we need any further info.
