is a (at least one )wired connection required ?

Hi

 

i plan to acquire an arc, a sub and 2 era300 for my new home cinema system.

 

i d like to check with you guys if a wired connection is required . I watched a youtube video and the guy said at least one of the speaker needs to be be wiredly connected . 
 

Is it true ? Ideally i d like to use only wifi to reduce uggly cables .

No.  That used to be a requirement, many, many moons ago, but it is no longer necessary.
