I have a Sonos Symfonisk, AirPlay2 compatible speaker in my Kitchen (and other Sonos speakers in other rooms)
The room is called “Kitchen”
In the Apple Home app, the Kitchen speaker is also in a room named “Kitchen”
I play music to the speaker sometimes through the Sonos app, sometimes from AirPlay from an apple device (iOS 14.2)
I notice that the speaker name keeps changing from “Kitchen” to “Kitchen Speaker” after a day or so
I don’t want it called “Kitchen Speaker”, I just want it called “Kitchen” so that the Airplay2 controls show it as a speaker with name “Kitchen”. The name “Kitchen Speaker” is too long and doesn’t look good in the AirPlay2 controls.
Why does the name keep changing?
Is it because the device has the same name as the room?
