Existing system is a Yamaha RX-A2A receiver with 5 speakers connected to a Sonos Port.  I want to add 2 Sonos speakers to the configuration. The 5 speakers will play surround sound and the 2 Sonos speakers will play stereo (I assume). Is it possible to add the 2 Sonos Era 100 speakers to this type of configuration. The room is a combined Living Room and Kitchen and the 2 Sonos speakers will be positioned in kitchen area to improve the volume of the sound. How can I add the Sonos speakers to the existing configuration?

You simply add both speakers to the system through the app:

Then you can create a stereo pair and name the room “kitchen”

Once the room is setup, you can then group it with the Port to have the same audio play in both rooms.

I added the 2 Sonos Ear 100, enabled Stero and called the new speakers KITCHEN.

I added a Group and combined Living Room with Kitchen but it doesnt show up as a new room but only as a Group. Is it possible to define a new Room?  So I would have Kitchen and Living Room as two seperate room options.  But then have a third room option the is called Kitchen/Living Room.

It may be simpler for you to delete to group you created and use the group function from the speakers page to group and ungroup when needed.

BTW. Thank you for all the help today.

Is there a way to make a new room?   The new room would combine the Kitchen and Living Room speakers —this makes it easier for playing music to the combined room. And you can see the combined room on the Sirus app

I’m not sure what you want to achieve - the way to combine two rooms is to group them.
