For music listening, Is it possible to have an era 300 and 2x ones (which I already have) for surround or should I get a Beam to go with my 2x ones for surround?

You can group the Era 300 with the pair of Ones and listen to the same music through all three speakers. But the Ones wouldn’t be considered as “surrounds” in this setup, just grouped speakers.

If you want a Sonos home theater setup with surrounds, you need a Sonos home theater device like the Beam. Then you can use the pair of Ones as rear surrounds with the Beam for a 5.0 home theater setup. If you add a Sonos Sub or Sub Mini, it will complete the 5.1 setup.

The only devices which have the input (HDMI-ARC or optical) necessary for TV sources are the Arc, Beam, Ray, and Amp.
