I assume you meant to say the Connect(:Amp) is a gen1 S1 system only? Anyhow here are the S2 line-in devices available:
You will need to use a Sonos product that has a line-in as follows…
- Port/Connect (gen2)
- Amp
- Five/Play:5 (gen2)
- Era-100 (has a useful BT Rx (Receiver) too) (requires additional dongle)**
- Era-300 (has a useful BT Rx) (requires additional dongle)**
- Sonos Move 2 (has a useful BT Rx) (requires additional dongle)
** Note: If any of the above compatible devices are used as a HT Surround, then their line-in port and Bluetooth Rx both become disabled.
Once the CD player is connected it can play to any/all Sonos products
Here are links to the two Sonos adapters that are currently available to use (if required):
Hi @Alandrumm
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
I changed your mention of “Connect” to “Connect:AMP” as I couldn’t see a Connect registered to your account. I also changed "Sonos 2” to “Sonos 1” as it seems likely this was a typo. If I did anything incorrect here, apologies - it occurs to me now that you may be talking about a Connect that isn’t yet registered to you.
Looking further, it seems this Connect:AMP of yours is S2 compatible, so you shouldn’t need a replacement at all. Did you have trouble upgrading it to S2 along with the rest of your Sonos devices? It’s presently offline - I don’t know if this is intentional or not.
I hope this helps.
