I rearranged my room and now my system has moved around. Turns out my new iPad is not supported after over a year now and seems their list says will never be supported, so I cant re-tune the system. But why can I not enable or disable the current Trueplay tuning? I know this was a feature in the past so android users could at least toggle it. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable it? The software side of Sonos keep falling down hill every year it seems. Promised features never come along, and device support gets worse. Just sell us a $10 mic to do the tuning ourselves or use the Roam to handle it.

Why can’t you disable it?
On my phone, the app has an option to toggle it on/off under Settings/System/roomname/Trueplay

My android phone has no Trueplay menu at all, it used to list it. And my iPad just has a gear and if I press that it brings up the menu that my device isnt supported, no toggle.

As far back as I can remember Android has never been able to use TruePlay. As was said by @nik9669a there is a Toggle in the Sonos App to turn off True play meaning the feature will not be available. To remove Trueplay settings reboot your speakers.

This is what I see on my iPad and phone. And I am very sure my phone in the past did have the ability to toggle it because I remember the first time seeing it I thought they finally updated their software to work with android.

I also am pretty sure Trueplay is still on for my system because the Sub is super loud with Trueplay, I end up having to set it to -10 for things to sound proper after enabling Trueplay. My main goal is for balancing the rear speakers for distance and volume.

The iPad screenshot implies that Trueplay settings are not active on that room setup.

Even if an iPad isn’t capable of Trueplay Tuning, it will still show the toggle option where Trueplay settings for the room are saved.

Did you previously, at some time in the past, remove either the surrounds or sub in the app then add them back to your Living Room, as this would automatically delete the previous saved Trueplay Tuning settings.

Note that when speakers are moved from one “room” to another “room”, all TruePlay settings are removed.

Not 100% sure this is what you’ve experienced, but if you have changed around the speakers in the Sonos controller, you’ll have automatically removed the TruePlay settings.

For instance, just deleting the surround speakers temporarily, then adding them back in would reset any TruePlay setting you may have had.

The room has the same speakers, I just moved them around when rearranging the furniture. It recently did lose a speaker for networking reasons and showed a ? in its place, but a quick unplug/replug of it fixed that.
