I have a sony str dh590 receiver hooked up to two wharfdale evo 4.3s and am trying to bring it into my system via the sonos port. I bought a pearl digital optical cable but it doesn't connect to the digital out on the sonos. What cable do I need?

( i got the port second hand and the only cable in there was the rca cables)

I fixed it. Connected the sonos output to the CD input on the reciever. Its a bit muddy but I'll fix that via tinkering. I just wasn't on the right Input

I would have thought you’d use the line-in rca connections on the Port, connected to a suitable output on your receiver. What output options does the receiver offer?

These plus a coaxial.

Those are labelled as inputs. You’re trying to get sound out. What outputs does the receiver have?
