I am trying to add a boost to my network. All my stuff is S1 and it says boost is incompatible but I have read that it can be added with S1 app. How to go about this?

It is listed as compatible, but default firmware may need it added to an S2 system first, and then set for S1. Might be easiest to contact Sonos support.

May I ask why you are adding a Boost? And how you are going about it? Have you factory reset it? Have you wired it while maintaining an existing device wired?

As @nik9669a suggests, even that may not be sufficient and a call to Sonos Support request.

The BOOST is certainly not compatible with ‘newer’ Sonos speakers that don’t/can’t use SonosNet.
