adding a sub

Hi all, I have the Sonos 2.1 amp and want to add a sub woofer to the Bose 251 outdoor environmental speakers.The Bose speakers are not wireless and on the back of the amp there is a single rca plug labeled sub. So do I need a passive or powered sub to connect to this amp? 🤔 Also any suggestions for an outdoor sub would be awesome!

It needs to be a powered subwoofer.
