Hi, I have one amp currently powering one set of speakers on my porch with a volume control. I'm thinking about adding an additional two pairs of speakers inside. Id like to put them on a seperate volume control and if possible also on the same amp. Firstly would it be possible to have all 6 speakers on one amp and second, what would I set the impedence matching to. From what I understand if it were two pairs on one VC id set it to 2X. However I'll have one pair on one VC and two pairs on the other. Would I set both VC to 4x?

I recommend using three Volmue controls. Proper setting depends on the speaker impedance. The control manufacturer should give you a table of suggested settings based on speaker impedance and amplifier minimum impedance capability.

The two pairs indoors are going in the same room though so it would be funny to put in a second vc

If not matched pairs or you aren't sitting in the optimal position the additional volume control might be nice.

Still, ideally I'd like to use only one VC for indoors

Use a single control for the inside room if you like. If the Volume controls are configured properly, AMP will not care.

Ok, what would I set the VC to tho? Would I chance both to 4x? 1 to 2x one to 1x?

Since I know nothing about your speakers, I suggest 4x. If AMP shuts down at high Volume, then go with 8x. 1x on the outdoor speaker and 2x on the indoor pair could work — depending on the speakers, the wiring, and your listening level.
