Where to place the Sonos Boost in the house?

Can the Boost be connected to a WiFi extender with a cable or is it recommended to connect it to the router even if the router has poor coverage in several rooms where I have various Sonos equipment?

    It can, but i would try it in the router first, assuming that you do not have a wired Sonos component already. Once you wire any Sonos component to your network you trigger Sonos' mesh networking, and every Sonos component becomes a repeater. If you have speakers around your home the more distant ones can be reached via the ones in between
