Has any tried this rig setup? I assume that this would only count as 1 zone within the sonos ecosystem?

This is a pretty standard set up with stereo speakers; using it for ceiling speakers would not make any difference to its viability. Yes, it would count as one zone in Sonos.

I am using a rotel rb1582 with my Sonos connect. I am using dynaudio excite x32 speakers. It sounds great. I did add an external DAC (Cambridge audio DAC Magic) and it made a big difference. Out of curiosity, how did the B&W ccm683's sound with your rb1552? I am thinking of using a rotel rkb8100 (8x100) with CCW683's for my living room. Hence I am interested to know how they sound. Best.
