Latency with Sonos AMP?
+6Question : I'm thinking of using the amp alongside a home recording setup. Does anyone know if there's noticeable lag when using photo for audio in - particularly as it would feed into a Sonos-net?

+20Hi, Chopdog. This is not going to work, unfortunately. I tried this myself using a PLAY:5's line-in port and even then, the lag made it totally unworkable. I was not grouping speakers, just attempting to get audio in real-time through the speaker itself. Do let us know if you have any further questions.

+20A colleague of mine and I discussed this. What kind of setup do you have? I ask because the HDMI input should actually be (almost) entirely latency free, but it depends on what is being fed into it. Mind clarifying for us?
+6Mmmmm was assuming phono. But assume I could do hdmi from Thunderbolt.
