Hi

I’m building a kitchen extension with a very high vaulted ceiling.

i was thinking about some in the wall speakers, this would require me removing some of the block work

the guy at richer sounds thinks it a bad idea

any thoughts appreciated

I agree with the guy you spoke with. Removing wall material, especially outer wall material, is a bad idea. Inwall and ceiling speakers are designed to work with the space between studs and joists. The amount of airspace needed for them to perform properly could compromise the integrity of the block wall.

I would suggest placing speakers on top of cabinets instead of inside the wall.
