Getting a new bluetooth turntable to work with existing, older Sonor speakers

I just acquired a new Sony bluetooth turntable that I’d like to connect to my existing Sonos system, which consists of (2) Play:5s (Gen 2), a Play:1, a One and a Boost. What are my options?

To bring the turntable into Sonos via BT you’ll need to purchase a Roam 2, Move 2, Era100 or Era 300 and then group with other Sonos speakers. Another option sans BT is run a RCA to 3.5mm cable from your turntable to your Play 5 and group in other Sonos speakers if you want.

Whatever turntable you have must have a built-in pre-amp. Otherwise you’ll have to purchase a pre-amp to sit between your turntable and your Play 5.

If memory serves, the Sonos One using S2 will accept a Bluetooth signal. You could send the turntable’s input to that, and then group any speakers in the Sonos controller to get it playing anywhere.

I’d consider retiring that BOOST, to, and just having your system connect to your WiFi directly.

I note that I’m incorrect, the One does not accept Bluetooth. Follow @AjTrek1 s advice.

I’d also note that in order to have Bluetooth, a turntable must use a internal pre-amp, to get the signal to Bluetooth levels ;)

You might be able to get a Bluetooth receiver with a line-in jack that you can plug into the Play:5 line-in input, rather than buy another speaker?

Not a huge fan of Bluetooth, honestly, due to the compression it tends to do for bandwidth purposes. If it were me, I’d go with a Sonos device that has a line in. Slightly more expensive likely, but better sound.
