Is the Dual XPR84D 2/1 High Performance Power MOSFET Class D 1000w Amplifier any good? I just bought an open box one for $55 dollars on Ebay.

Probably a question better asked on a generic stereo board, rather than a board dedicated to support of the Sonos ecosystem.
Well, Dual is definitely not the same German company that produced fine turntables with brilliant engineering back in the day. Looks like a Chinese maker of questionable quality products these days.
At the price, it can't be too bad. Except perhaps for the risk of catastrophic failure of its caps blowing up any connected speakers, so I would not wire any expensive ones to it.
