I have a Sony STR DE 895, I have a turntable and tv hooked up. TV is hooked up via digital connection.
Receiver is connected to Connect via the tape out. I can only get the record player and radio to play to the connect. The tv will not. I'm thinking it might not be possible, since it's a digital signal from the tv. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or anyway I can make this work?
Thanks

Check the manual. There are many receivers that won't send a digital input out through the analog output.
Here’s what I found in the manual. Sounds like it is not possible
• It is not possible to record analog signals to the components connected to MD/TAPE and VIDEO jacks with
only digital connections. To record analog signals, make analog connections. To record digital signals, make
digital connections.

Yup, that’s your answer. Sony isn’t sending a signal from a digital input to the analog outputs.
