Question

Connect Turntable to Sonos Speakers

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some assistance if you’d be so kind.

I have a Rega Plana 1 Plus Vinyl record player that I’d like to connect to my Sonos speaker system (Play 1 / Play 3 / Playbar). I believe I can do this through a Sonos Connect Amp.

Is it as straightforward as plugging Turntable into Connect Amp > Connect Amp gives me the ability to connect and select which speakers to play out of?

Happy to discuss how best to set this up (without breaking the bank completely).

Thanks!

You will need any Sonos device with a Line-In. They are the following and have different functions:

Amp - Used to amplify passive speakers

Port - Used to get Sonos sources to an existing stereo

Play:5 (Gen 2) - Includes a great Sonos speaker

Of the three, the Port would be the way to go if you have no use for passive speakers or the Play:5.

Also, the Port replaced the Connect, but there are still some Connects out there for sale.

Don't forget to include a phono stage between turntable and amp, if one is not included within the record deck!
