Is it possible to pair a sonos sub to a connect amp in the same way when pairing to a playbase?

A Connect:Amp? Yes. The Sonos Sub can be used with all Sonos devices except the Connect. The Connect cannot because the Sub would have no knowledge amplification/volume level of the downstream devices.

thank you for responding! I can pair the sub to the connect amp via the mobile app? I don’t have to wire it to the subwoofer out terminal on the back of this amp?

Yes, the Sonos Sub can be wireless, you connect it via the app. The subwoofer out connection is for 3rd party subs.
