+1I am very interested in purchasing a Brennan B2, however before committing I would like to ask those who have the knowledge on this forum will it work with older Sonos equipment?
I have the following kit -
3 x Play 3 speakers, 1 x Connect and a CR200 controller. I have the Sonos S1 app on a smartphone and PC.

The B2 should work as a NAS come what may, but I see that one can now ‘push’ a stream directly from the B2 player to Sonos as well. (https://www.brennan.co.uk/itemcontent.php/content/NewSonos)
It’s not immediately obvious which interface it’s exploiting. It might use Airplay or simply raw UPnP. Whether it works at S1 I’ve no idea. The videos show it with an S2 controller.
Why don’t you ping Brennan and ask?

Thanks for the information.
I have already asked the same question on the Brennan forum unfortunately I only had one reply stating that a Brennan B2 was being successfully used with an original Play 1.
