The Scan For new Content button isn’t working on the ios app

The Scan For new Content button isn’t working. When I go to Music Library settings and press Scan For New Content and then Scan Now nothing happens. Not sure which app update has caused this. There used to be an indication that the scan was in progress. Not now. Can access my Music Library and I know theirs is new content. Any ideas gratefully received.

How much content did you add? If it was just a small amount with small files, it would be quick and you may not notice it happened.

Have you checked the folders to see if the new content was added?

This started a few controller updates ago. It does scan for new content. It just doesn’t give you any indication in the S2 iOS app that it’s doing it. Wait a bit and then check the Music Library to see the new content is there.

Hello Rainbows End - how are you?  I just tested mine on iPhone and much like your result, it does not show anything that it is running.  However, I still use the old orange/brown windows version of Sonos and when I checked in the music library settings, it is in fact updating the music library.  

 

I waited for that to finish - added a song (made a copy) to my library and ran it again from iPhone (it triggers it across the apps (Windows, Web, iOS ..etc immediately if you have them all open and running) and the new track was available on Sonos after it indexed/updated.

Thanks for the reply. I too can get the PC app to update the library. And it shows it is doing it. 
Odd that they have removed the indication in the mobile app.

Fair point. Just a few albums. Just odd to have no indication in the app that it’s updating
