Sonos S1 Desktop app (windows,mac)

I guess you have not visited any communities for a while.

Support for the desktop apps have been discontinued and the web app is now used: play.sonos.com

While its not as functional as the desktop app, it does a great job playing music and grouping speakers.

I do wish Sonos would add more security to the could based app with TFA

That must be a recent removal, because they were there not long ago. You can still use the mobile Sonos S1 controller on iOS, Android and FireOS.

Did you possibly keep a copy of your last download, or maybe catch it in a backup?

I believe there is a problem with the website because if you navigate to support and then apps, you receive a 404 error - tested in Canada English and French.  Definitely something going on.

Yea… unfortunately, a lot of troubleshooting is not possible from the mobile app or web app and let`s not talk about the Music Library ...

We’re talking about S1, correct? The web app doesn’t work with S1. The S1 mobile apps work fine, as does using a local Music Library. I moved all my music playing sonos gear back to S1 last September. I only use S2 for home theater and one pair of Ones that I use for testing S2 progress (or lack thereof).

Go to the app store and search for “Phonos Ultimate”. Native Intel and Apple Silicon, supports S1 and S2.
