I just recently set up my ArcEra3pairSub3 for the first time in 5 months. I swear, regardless of Netflix, HBO, Apple et al. app, the TV or Movie visual meta data showed up in the Sonos app play screen in the past. It certainly does now, when AirPlaying, but on from “TV Source”.

There are many changes in the app from my last use, but I just can’t figure this out. First pic is AirPlay, second is “normal use”.

Thanks so much for your input

I have never seen any meta data on the screen when watching video from streaming services. There is a format indicator that shows Dolby Atmos, PCM etc.

Did you update your app and the Sonos devices?

Unplug everything from power and wait two minutes bfore plugging it back in.

What are your TV settings for the audio output?

Ah, perhaps I’m remembering incorrectly. Interestingly, when AirPlaying video or audio the Sonos app does show visual program materials, in addition to the audio format that you call out, @Pools-3015.

Anyone else?

I don’t recall ever seeing metadata for TV input.

Yes, had to do quite a bit of set up - every speaker was ultimately factory reset.
TV setting for audio ouput? - Which ones? I’ll take a pic of what I think you’re asking for @Stanley_4 . Your questions seem to imply the visual meta data is supposed to be transmitted - is this correct?

I’ve toggled them all in different settings, to no avail, including pass through.

Those settings look good, except “Pass through mode” should be Auto. But, that has nothing to do with no metadata shown for TV input.

The meta data is from the signal detected, not sent from the source.

Odd things happen with mismatched versions and sometimes an update confuses things that the power-cycle fixes.
