Line-In on Move 2 for Ipod Classic connection

The Sonos app is not allowing me to enter any information under Line-in, Sources.  It says that Move 2 is “Not Connected” yet I have the iPod on and playing the 3.5mm jack into the DAC female to USB-C converter in place (purchased from the Sonos supplier as a compatible cable - a Baseus Type C Male to 3.5mm Female with built in DAC).The volume is up full on the iPod.

I also tried it plugged into my laptop headphone output and it didn’t see that one either.

Is there any way to configure the port without it seeing the connection so that I can play with the source level as some articles seem to indicate that this may be the issue?

Sonos doesn't support a lot of devices so hoping to find one that works, even if the plugs match, is iffy. It requires very specific internal hardware and firmware, and even if you find an unsupported one that works now an update may break it.

This is what you need:

The only adapters that are 100% known to work are the following:

https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/sonos-combo-adapter-black

All generic adapters have been found to be digital in to analog out, the Sonos specific adapters are analog in to digital out.

I think you need an ADC rather than DAC.
