I usually use a third party app to play my sonos system, but I used the mac desktop client to add new music to my library. I can do this with the s2 app on my iPad, too. So that’s good.
I just tried the web app, and I can not find where one re-indexes their library using that client. Where is it?

So once the desktop controller won’t work any longer (due to mac os update) the only way to maintain a library will be via a controller app running on a device?
The macOS desktop controllers were updated for Apple Silicon. So they will continue to run until Sonos decides to discontinue them.
Currently, until Sonos folds in local library maintenance in the web app, yes.
There are, I suspect, GDPR issues in uploading local library data to a cloud server. In general, however, this data is supposed to be created on the Sonos device itself. I’d love to know more about this, but doubt that data would be shared by Sonos…I certainly have been stifled in previous jobs about sharing data about potential legal issues. Sometimes an issue, more often a thoughtful (to me) intervention/rule by the legal folks.
