Hi-fi and/or home theater amplifier compatible with the "Pass Through" function of the Sonos Port

Hello, I have passive speakers that I use to listen to stereo music and for television.

I want to integrate them completely into my Sonos ecosystem. (voice control using my Sonos Era 100 for switching on, off, volume adjustment...)

I want to buy an amplifier connected to a Sonos Port that my system appears in the sonos application as a real Sonos speaker. I read in the instructions that it was possible to use the Sonos Port to adjust the volume of the amplifier using the "pass-Trough" function. I see on many forums that many people have problems with this function.

Do you have a list of amplifiers compatible with the "pass-Trough" function of the Sonos port?

Thanks

Not sure what you are asking or want. Or what p4oblems you saw, maybe links to them?

A Sonos Port works as any other Sonos Room, it can play what you send it directly or be Grouped with other Sonos Rooms to play together.

The Port also has inputs so you can feed an external analog signal to it.

According to the Port product guide… Control volume from your AVR or amplifier

Use Sonos to control the volume on your home theater or amplifier
When Port’s line-out level is set to Pass-Through, Port stays at a fixed volume and sends volume commands to your amplifier. You can control volume using the Sonos app, a universal remote, or your voice if you have a voice assistant enabled.

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Choose Port.
  3. Select Pass-Through for the Line-Out Level.

Note: Make sure your amplifier supports Pass-Through. If you set the line-out level to Pass-Through and your amplifier doesn’t support it, you won’t be able to control the volume.

I don’t know of any amps that can do this.
