Question

HDMI Override?

I have an Arc, Sub Mini and Era 300 pair in my living room, and sometimes when I’m playing music through the Sonos app, it would be really great to throw something on the TV for visuals, but if I turn on the TV it will stop playing music and take control of the soundbar to output TV audio. Is there I way to temporarily ignore that, as if I had unplugged the HDMI cable? or if not can that please be a feature request?

In the Arc’s room settings, disable the option for TV Autoplay.

Check the HDMI-CEC and HDMI-eARC settings based on the TV type.

Disabling CEC on the TV may limit the audio formats sent to the soundbar. A CEC.blocker will prevent this, but block some convenience options such as automatic setup and auto input selection. Also, Volume control may not be as convenient.
