The same way any of Sonos speakers connect as surrounds? The software process is the same.

Also, from the Ray’s sale page, under FAQs:

Which Sonos speakers work as surrounds?

A matching pair of the following speakers will work as surrounds: Sonos Era 100, Sonos One (including SL), Sonos Five, Play:1, Play:3, and Play:5 (Gen 2). You can also use Sonos Amp to power in-wall, in-ceiling, or other passive speakers as surrounds.

If I had a pair of the older small Sonos I'd be tempted to use them as surrounds and put the 100s in the Room you took them from.

The Play 5 and Five would be underused as surrounds.

My Beam gen 1 has One SLs as surrounds and they are a good match for it.
