I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

Have a look here: Connect Sonos to a new router or WiFi network

Is your Connect on S1 or S2? It’s possible you may need to temporarily run an ethernet cable to get the wifi settings updated.

In my experience it is easier if you temporarily wire the unit to your network, then update its WiFi.

By the way, you can define up to 16 WiFi networks. I have two at home and SONOS is free to use either. If one goes down for maintenance, the system switches WiFi without a fuss. I also took one player to work and added that WiFi. After I brought the player home, it updated the other players. Now I can simply walk into the office with any player from home.

Actually, the easiest approach is to use the former WiFi SSID and Password. You should reboot everything after replacing the router.
