I have been using Sonos for over 10 years mainly hassle free, but I have just moved from the S1 to S2 because of getting new hardware an now all my Compilation albums are showing as single tracks in my library.
I see from posts, this was a problem before but can't understand why this has happened now?
I am using the latest app build and my system is set up to auto update.

There are issues with compilation albums (even with the above tagging) ongoing in s2 since the May 2024 update. One topic on the forum for ex.:
(not a feature request really but a bug - I was being polite...)
There are other issues with local library indexing (duplicate titles for ex.) and a forum/Google search will uncover them.
Sonos are aware of the issues as tickets have been raised and acknowledged with support but no-one is holding thier breaths, but many are hoping, for a fix in the near future….
In addition to setting metadata “Album Artist” to “Various Artists”, make sure to check in the S2 controller, Settings → Music Library → Group Albums by. Your choices are “iTunes Compilations”, “Album Artists”. Both or “Do not group”. Select “Album Artists” or Both. I also turn off “View Contributing Artists”.
