Hi there. The docs state that only gen 2 of the Symfonisk bookshelf will work with the new Beam Ultra. I have 2 of the gen 1s, and not gen 2. Does anyone know if this is a permanent situation? Will it filter down to gen 1? Otherwise I’ll need to replace my surrounds if I upgrade to the Beam Ultra.

I didn’t know there were two generations of the Symfonisk. But I suspect Sonos did everything they could to make all speakers compatible as surrounds. If they aren’t compatible now, I’d doubt they’ll be a change to make them compatible in a future update. I suspect you’ll need to replace them.
I needed to replace my Play 1 surrounds, went with Era-100s and am very pleased. The Play 1s got a new home.
