amp mounting upside down

I'd call support and ask.

I thought there was a mounting plate for wall and ceiling use but I'm not seeing it.

The only concern I’d express is that warm air usually floats up, not down (check your physics textbook for why), and mounting it upside down isn’t, as I recall, what it was designed for. However, it’s entirely possible the effect is negligible, too…but I’d still want to provide some ‘space’ to allow full airflow around the device, as much as possible. I’d think mounting it off the ceiling by half an inch would be enough, but that’s neither a Sonos employee, or a physics/sound engineer speaking.

I’ve always been partial to Flexson products for Sonos. However, it seems their Amp mounts are shown as “Coming Soon”

The best I could find on mounting/ventilation was in the product guide:

“If put on a shelf, place at the front and keep 3" (minimum) clearance on all sides.”

“Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.”

“Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat.”

Found it, looks to allow upside down mounting.

That’s the same mount that’s in the Sonos store.

I thought it was but searching the store for Amp didn't find it. Why does Sonos have so many issues making the search tools work?

I don’t even bother with their search. I remembered seeing it in Shop -> Accessories. So I just scrolled until I found it.

Someone needs to have a chat with someone and  discuss the difference in an on-line sales website,  where you make it easy for folks to find and buy stuff, and a scavenger hunt, where you make everything hard to find and force folks to jump through non-obvious hoops. 

Maybe also discuss the concept of "leaving money on the table" and why it is a bad thing?

Do they realize forcing someone to use an external search tool presents them with a half-dozen non-Sonos options?
