Amazon-Music files on all-except-newly-created Sonos playlists giving "not encoded properly" msg

(I can create them anew and the new ones read the same Amazon files correctly.)  It was as though a mysterious virus had swept down on my Sonos system, no idea why.  The earlier playlists (many dozens) are still there but the files are all, quote, ”not encoded properly”.   Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

(My only Sonos equipment is a ZP80.  Running S1 on my Iphone and Imac.)

I find Amazon renaming things with no notice, thus breaking the Sonos track connections.

Doesn't seem to impact lists saved to Amazon.

Yes, it seems at least possible that some sort of “renaming”  of files on Amazon Music may have happened, although the message is “not encoded properly”, not “file not found”.   Or perhaps some sort of re=encoding was involved on Amazon’s end.  But if any of these things happened I would expect that thousands of Sonos users would be experiencing my problem and be up in arms about it.

Any thoughts or info much appreciated.

Unfortunately, anytime there is a error streaming a song, the Sonos error is “not encoded properly”. Not very helpful.

As you are discovering user level information is sparse.

If you want a real answer, not best guesses, get it to happen and submit a diagnostic, note the number.

When you have time call support to have it looked at as they can see far more than us users.
