Despite spending lots of time on the phone to the retailer’s help desk, and searching every avenue, I’m still getting GMT time zone instead of New Zealand (GMT + 13 hours). I’ve read that Sonos app automatically changes zones but not for me. The local Sonos help desk is ‘off line’ and the website offers no help to a non-techy like me!

Go to the Sonos website, and log in to your account there. Then go to the address settings for your account, and make sure they’re correct.
Thanks, Bruce but that's what is weird, the setting is correct but Alexa is still telling me the wrong time.
Go into the Alexa app and check you address in there.
Thanks. Eventually I got amazing help from Sonos. Did a diagnostic which told them I hadn't opened Skills and Games which has a time zone! Who would have thought? Alexa and I are now in New Zealand! Thanks Sonos team.
