I have an Echo+ in my Kitchen and a Beam in my front room. Anytime I asked the Echo+ to play music it defaults to playing on my Beam. It used to be intermittent but happens every time now. It's the same for both Radio & Spotify 

Can you check the Speakers section within the Alexa Groups for your Kitchen and Front Room.
