Sonos Roam will no longer connect to Alexa

Hello,

A few weeks ago my Sonos Roam reset and subsequently lost connection to Alexa. I've tried reconnecting it via the Sonos App and when I follow the steps and choose Alexa, it attempts to login to the app but all I get is the spinning wheel.

Eventually it says try again or cancel. I've deregistered it on the Alexa app and still I'm facing issues.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated

Matt

Hi @matt4566

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues connecting Alexa to your Sonos Roam.

There had been an on-going issue that our team was aware of and a previous workaround was to remove the Amazon Shopping app if installed. However as of the latest update this should be fixed. If you haven’t tried recently, check if there is an update from your app store for the Sonos app (it may not automatically update) and try to add Alexa again after updating.

If you’re still having the issue where you get a spinning wheel and the adding process doesn’t finalize, please let me know, but I hope this helps!

Hi Jamie A,

Thank you for your response. I will check for the Sonos app update and see if that resolves the issue.

Kind regards,

Matt
