I have been trying to setup my SONOS ONE SL with Alexa skills (yes I know it doesn’t have a microphone) but both my echo dot 1 and echo dot latest gen have mics so I can give commands from them. Problem is I have disabled and deleted the skill and try to re-enable but whatever I do it doesn’t work and Alexa doesn’t seem to be able to find the device although the Sonos app is working normally.

Make sure the Sonos skill is not only connected to the same Sonos account, but that it is using the correct Sonos Household ID (particularly if you have more than one Sonos Household in your online Sonos account). See attached example.
Also check that your country settings are correct and support Alexa on Sonos too.

It’s likely the case the speaker is listed in the Alexa device list already, using its room name and you just need to setup an ‘Alexa enabled group’ with the two Alexa devices listed in the first section of the group and your Sonos One SL needs to be added to the second section of the group for ‘audio ducking’ purposes - so the Alexa instructions can be heard by your Amazon devices when playing music - also you need to add the speaker to the third (speakers) section of the group and set the group ‘playback option’ to ALWAYS. Thank you for your detailed advice on setting up the Alexa group structure. However, I'm still having trouble getting my Sonos S1 to appear in the Alexa device list. Unfortunately I cannot even rename the Sonos to Sonos and I have to say Alexa play x song to living room but that is fine for me, still works! Can I play from Sonos and Alexa speakers combined music? Or can Alexa answer with the Sonos speaker?

To get Alexa to play music to your Sonos speaker without using the ‘group’ or ‘speaker’ name you need to set the groups ‘playback’ options to ‘Always’ as mentioned in my initial post.
I had a power outage and suddenly it stopped playing on my Sonos One SL. (I was giving the command to Alexa and didn't play anything, but it was playing only through the Sonos app and not when I was giving voice command to Alexa) I was stupid enough to ask AI for help and I was advised to delete the skill from Alexa app and reenable it. Unfortunately it doesn't work now at all. I cannot link the skill back!
It sounds rather like you have the ‘skill’ linked to the correct Sonos Account, but a different Sonos Household - I would remove the speaker and the skill and setup both again. Also remove and re-add both of them to s chosen Amazon Alexa ‘enabled’ group too, as discussed earlier in this thread. The change of Sonos Household is likely at the root of the issue you are encountering.
