Sonos One, Alexa & Spotify

Hey guys have just came back to a full Sonos experience (playbar and 2 x play one speakers) after a flirtation with HomePods. I have previously linked Spotify with my speakers and thought it would be a case of logging back and in and I’d be good to go. However when I ask Alexa to play something on Spotify I get a response confirming that this will happen e.g ask - Alexa play some jazz on Spotify, Alexa response - jazz coming up from Spotify. Then nothing, I can play direct from the Spotify app and Sonos app.

I’ve unlinked and linked again, made Spotify the main music app to no avail.

Any help would be awesome.

Be sure that the same Spotify credentials are entered in both the Sonos and Alexa apps.
Deleted Spotify and added back on, as it turned out I was using an old account, duh. Thanks for the response jgatie.
