I have just purchased a Sonos Beam, which is now on its way to me via Amazon, and I wondered if this is going to be able to be used as a full Echo device replacement?



I know you can't use 'drop in' or 'messaging' features, which isn't a problem for me as I don't use those, but I do have a Hive home heating system, which can be controlled via my existing Echo device (e.g. adjusting temperature, turning the heating on and off) and I'm wondering if I will be able to do the same but via the Beam's in-built Alexa? Likewise my Neato robot vacuum cleaner...
