Is there a way to test if mic is working?

Mic light is on; Sonos settings show Alexa connected; Alexa app shows Sonos skill active but Alexa doesn’t respond.

Please open the Alexa App>Settings>Alexa Privacy>Review Voice History. This will list all of the commands that Alexa has heard.

I’ve checked. Alexa hasn’t heard anything I said to the Sonos 1.

Just to check, the status light is a white  rectangular light. The mic light is a small round white light. Can you confirm that the light is on by touching the mic symbol and ensuring the round  white is on then try ' Alexa, what's the time'.

I suggest that you contact Sonos Support, this sounds like a defective unit.
