Whenever I say "Alexa, play x song", she replies with"x song by x artist from spotify, sorry that device is offline". I have spotify premium so I don't understand why it does not work.

Can you please open the Alexa App and select the devices button in the bottom right hand corner. At the top of the screen on your mobile device, please scroll right and select 'All Devices'. Is your Sonos One shown as 'Online'?

Can you follow these steps and let us know how you get on:
1/ Power down your Sonos One for 5 secs and then allow it to boot;
2/ Open the Alexa App>Devices and select 'Forget' against your Sonos One;
3/ On your Sonos One, please ask 'Alexa, Discover Devices'
4/ Open the Alexa App>Devices and check if your Sonos One is shown as 'on-line'?
