No Sound

I’ve just spent two hours  re-setting my Sonos One so that it recognizes a new router. Alex is working Ok, because when I ask her the time, or the weather, she gives correct answers, and when I ask her to play a particular play list, she finds the play list and says that she’s playing it, but there’s no sound after that??

Normally there would be no reason for a reset when connecting to a new router. You could even avoid to have to do anything when you set the SSID and password for the new router to the same as the old one (unless you have safety concerns of course).

What music service are you using? Is it connected on the same account to Alexa and Sonos?

You might also try this:

  1. Disable the Sonos skill in the Alexa App
  2. Sign-out of Alexa
  3. Sign-in to Alexa
  4. Enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa App
  5. Test your Sonos
