inable to add Roam to Alexa group

Firstly please ignore my stupid typo in the post title.

Hopefully someone can help. This may be linked to other issues noted in this forum about Alexa in Roam.

Troubleshooting

removed Alexa Sonos Skill and re added

removed Alexa from all Sonos devices and re added

Problem

i am unable to add the Sonos Roams to a group in the Sonos app. All other Sonos devices including the Move work fine.

any advice would help. Thanks.

Can you check that your device is in wi-fi mode and not blue tooth.  If you press and hold the Play button, does that work?

Can you check that your device is in wi-fi mode and not blue tooth.  If you press and hold the Play button, does that work?

In WiFi mode. Strangely it appears as a speaker to Alexa and as an echo device in the device list just not when adding to a group.
