Question

I can’t get Spotify to work with Alexa and I have a Spotify premium account

I have successfully set up Alexa on my Sonos One but I cannot control Spotify with it. I have a Spotify premium account and it works fine with my Amazon Echo and Dot. On my Alexa app under Sonos One and Spotify, it says “app support unavailable”. Help!

Hi

Can you confirm these points, sorry if some appear very basic:

1/ Have you added the same Spotify account in the Alexa App>Settings>Music & Media>Spotify as you have in the Sonos App?
2/ Have you set Spotify as the default music service in Alexa App>Settings>Music & Media
3/ What commands are using to control Spotify? Here is the link for commands:

If 'Yes' to all of these then the steps I've listed in the Answer to this post detail the troubleshooting steps you need to take next:

Thank you for your response. Yes tried all of those with no luck. To add more colour:

* my Amazon account is UK
* my Sonos account is UK
* my Spotify account is Singapore

Separately, I can start my podcast (Tunedin) using voice commands but cannot stop / pause the podcast.
